At Kidzone, Jean Piaget’s Theory of Cognitive Development plays a crucial role in shaping how children learn and grow. By understanding how kids construct knowledge through play and exploration, we create an environment that fosters curiosity, confidence, and joy in learning.
We strive to create a warm environment where learning is fun. Our primary focus is on learning through play and exploration. We encourage children to grow with confidence, self-esteem and independence. We want children, parents and staff to learn together and for all to develop to their full potential creating ‘Happy learners’.
Here at Kidzone, as the name itself conjures the images of kid’s world full of colours, dreams, fantasy a place where kids are ready to explore and develop at their own pace.
At DPS Rau Kidszone, we celebrate every child’s unique learning journey. Our curriculum is designed to nurture cognitive, social-emotional, physical, creative, and aesthetic growth, ensuring each learner thrives at their own pace. Rooted in the latest research and pedagogy, we create an environment where potential flourishes.
A child’s learning thrives when their fundamental needs are met. Physiological, safety, love/belonging, esteem, and self-actualization are essential for holistic development.
Here is how we do it-
Children learn through exploration and experiences. At our school, we nurture cognitive growth by providing age-appropriate learning experiences, hands-on activities, and problem-solving opportunities that align with each stage.
How We Incorporate Piaget’s Theory:
Vygotsky’s Sociocultural Theory emphasizes that learning is a social process shaped by interaction, culture, and guided support. At our school, we foster development through collaboration, scaffolding, and real-world experiences, ensuring students thrive in a dynamic learning environment.
Here is how we do it-
‘Time spent playing with children is never wasted’
The Montessori philosophy is built on a deep respect for children, recognizing their individuality, choices, and unique learning paths. It emphasizes allowing children to explore at their own pace, learn from their mistakes, and develop independence laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
How we Implement This
-Ensure classrooms are calm, structured, and encourage curiosity.
This theory is the best example of how we shape our society. This theory revolves around both individual needs and the needs of our community, ensuring that we address challenges at every stage of life.
Here’s how we put this into practice:
Our curriculum is tailored to accommodate visual, auditory, reading/writing, and kinesthetic learning styles through diverse activities such as movies, music, pre-writing exercises, and outdoor play.
Visual – Movie screenings, puppet shows, and interactive activities
